WEBINAR ...
I want to thank the NCGS webinar committee for organizing this webinar. I also appreciate thefact that you have these webinars on the Go To Meeting site. Diane had some additionalmaterial that was not in the handout. Some of the links were long and I love the fact that I canclick on the Screen Shot icon. As an NCGS member I know I can listen again, but I find theability to do a screen shot a great feature.I had absolutely no idea that there were post office ledgers as well as maps. What was excitingto me is that my research includes OH, PA, and NY and this gives me a whole new area toexplore. I thought the webinar was just fascinating and Diane Richard's webinar and handoutwere really terrific.

GRIVA Program ...
I would like to thank you again for four terrific presentations. Each one had interesting and valuable research information for me. ... you were one of the best (and most useful) lecturers in years!

One-on-one Research Support (State Archives of NC) ...
“My planned genealogy trip to the NC archives was cut short from 3 days to 1, so I decided to hire Diane L. Richard to help me for the one day I was there. I’ve never hired help for my genealogy work, but this was money well spent. I felt we accomplished more in that one day than I could have done in the original three days I had scheduled. Diane is very knowledgeable about the process of family research and all the holdings of the NC archives. The money I spent hiring her was less than what I would have spent to stay the extra two days and I would definitely hire her when going back again."

"A great look at records which I have found, but I did not know always understand and know how to use. Thank you so very much. Great job!!!!"
"A very eye-opening topic.....I had no idea there was such an array of categories that offered yet another source to research the lives of my white ancestors from the South."
"AWESOME webinar!!! Diane was one of my first genealogy teachers a few years ago at NCSU OLLI! Diane is always very, very thorough, very interesting, and wants to share everything very quickly with her students. As always, Diane’s support material, her website, slides, etc. are of excellent quality. She makes her presentations so easy to learn from. Her syllabus for each class makes extensive notetaking unnecessary. I am so glad she presented Freedmen Records today - an area overlooked for research! Thx"
"Diane has a wealth of knowledge. We need her back!"
"Had no clue there was such a variety of information available under the Freedman's Bureau!! Great webinar!!"
"I LIKED it. Nicely coherent and comprehensive, and easy to understand. Thank you."
"Presenting in a webinar can be challenging because there isn't audience feedback to gauge how well your remarks are going. Diane was outstanding. Her passion for the topic certainly came through. I'll be recommending this webinar to my "genie" friends."
"This is one of the MOST useful webinars I've ever attended. I ASSUMED (incorrectly) that it wouldn't apply to my own research. WRONG!!! I didn't know so many people are included, or how many different record sets there are. My BIGGEST surprise? The hospital records of a NY Regiment!! Who knew? I may still find my man!! Thank you, Diane. Your handout is incredible."
"Wonderful presentation and stimulating! One of my favorites through all the years. Thanks!!!!"
TXGS (Feb 2018) [topic = Timelines]
"It was fantastic! ... had a call from a friend who was online listening. She called about half-way through gushing about what she was learning and said she had to tell me; then she immediately said she had to go finish listening and she'd tell me more later!" (anonymous)
"Thanks so much for a fabulous presentation yesterday at the 2018 TxSGS Virtual Conference! I use timelines and have given presentations on rudimentary types of timelines, but your presentation really opened my eyes to the possibilities. I felt like I was seeing a "graduate-level" version of timelines. Wow! I'm a visual person, and the use of colorsforsurnames and critical facts will be a tremendous help! I can't wait to get back to my own research and rework those timelines I've done in the past." (Susan Ball, TxSGS Director of Membership)
"From a personal perspective, I particularly enjoyed your presentation on Timelines. You gave me SO many new ideas! I've used timelines for quite a while, but you definitely took them to a new level for me. I can't wait to try out a few things. There are a couple of timelines/families I plan to revisit in the next few weeks to give me a new perspective." (Sandra Crowley)
I really enjoyed the Freedmen Bureau webinar especially since my research is basically in NC. I am technologically challenge and was not able to download the handout.
LECTURES ...
Outstanding session! This is the kind of thing I came for.
My first NGS national conference session, and I was so impressed with this session!
One of the best! I really appreciate the lengths she goes to share who knowledge and the absolutely fabulous details of her handouts. If she ever writes a compilation of everything she's presented, I'll be first in line to buy twelve copies!
Best session I attended on Wednesday. Very high energy and informative.
She is a very good speaker. Her knowledge for me as a beginner was good. She explained a lot and in a language we could understand
Diane was upbeat, informative and fun.
Fast paced which I love Speaker was knowledgeable energetic and funny. Great job!
Great speaker. I learned a great deal of practical information I will use.

RESEARCH ...
I had been searching for information I knew existed but after over 20 years of searching with no results, I found Diane's contact info and applied to her for help. She was honest, responded quickly and did thorough work. She documented the info totally with copies of the documents.
She did exactly as requested and went out of her way to achieve my goals. She found the records I was looking for that had been misfiled. She also found many other records that have enriched my genealogy...I could not be happier...
..Diane was very honest and did not milk the situation...she communicated well and listened well...She is very good at her work.
Marilyn Szum (Jan 2016 via Genlighten)
LECTURE ...
Diane provided a special program focused on African American genealogy, which was very well received in our community.
She explained resources that extended well-beyond the US Census for areas to troubleshoot. In the future, our library definitely would like to welcome Diane back.(2016 program)

RESEARCH ...
"Diane, You did a collateral research project for me a few years ago on finding William and John Copeland's wives names. Although the names are still to be determined you went a long way into narrowing down the possibilities. I will be completing the Boston University Certificate program next week and now more than ever I admire your analytical skills. I have reread my 2 reports many times and have been able to put some of your practices to work. I believe I may have found Revolutionary War John's wife's family but cannot place her in a household just yet. Just wanted to let you know that I have valued your work on my family project and sending a big thanks your way."D. Coley (December 2014)

"Thank you so much for your work. Being from New York it was difficult to obtain the info I needed to further my family research. I was thrilled to receive the information you were able to provide me. Thank you again, I look forward to using your services again in the near future.”

RESEARCH ...
"I'm totally satisfied with the results that Ms. Diane L Richard of Mosaic Research and Project
Management was able to research for me. Lots of answers to questions that our family had
asked and wanted to know for decades were unleashed due to her detailed research. It is so
refreshing to finally have answers and have a better sense of where we came from. Thanks
again to Ms. Richard."Anonymous (how system worked)
